Just like the last minute sleaze
in the Franken and Coleman battle - On Saturday November 1,
just before the election when it
can not be caught, an avid Kevin Staunton person broadcast email
with false information about Erhardt.
It includes pastings from prepared material which might indicate
access to original campaign material in electronic form. Only
investigation would show that. When this kind of thing occurs, certainly a complaint can be dealt with by the state which can levy fines, etc, HOWEVER that does nothing to timely counteract the clear and documentable falsehoods about Erhardt's record. Republican Keith Downey is already going to trial for doing the same thing. It is unlikely the writer, Sarah O'Donnell, will or could undo what she has done in time for all the recipients to carefully reconsider who they vote for. Like all last minute hits, that is because only she knows - at this time - who all got the distribution. In previous emails to us (edinamoderates.org) Ms. O'Donnell has indicated she broadcasts to many hundreds of people. Technically she probably does this in small groups as in the sample (forwarded to us) below since anti-spam setups in non-commercial email programs do not accept large numbers of recipients in a single email. |

Downey Church Group Supporters [No disclaimer] Distribution Calling Erhardt and Staunton Supporters of Baby Killers - most likely unconnected with Downey campaign from some of his fanatical Christian Right supporters. No idea how many copies of this really went around - although the email says they were trying for 3000. Sorry about the reproduction quality - according to what we know it was a print of an email handed to an apparent friend of the email recipient who then cut out any identifying mention of herself and her friend and then faxed it with the comment resulting in a fax print photocopy which we then scanned for you. In scanning we did check the enhance and sharpen buttons to try to make it readable. |

Downey attack
[no-disclaimer] - mostly aimed at Erhardt even though it includes
Staunton's party - but containing false representations of the
referenced legislative bills and votes.

false claims. |

Minnesota Majority [PAC] attack
on Erhardt on-behalf of Downey - but containing false
representations of the referenced legislation.
(Click here for Erhardt Campaign's reply and discreditation of the
false claims. Notice the format of this from Minnesota Majority - a 501(c)4 PAC that did not file its campaign efforts with the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board. During the endorsement process Downey and Minnesota Majority distributed near identical Erhardt attack pieces with the exception of color and sophisticated presentation. |

Don't expect Washington D.C.'s
big money PAC
Progressive Majority that
trained Staunton to sit idly by in their top target Minnesota state
house race! What are the chances they are planning a last minute
attack blitz? See here what Progressive Majority just did at the last minute ($100,000 out of Washington D.C.) in Washington State House District 35 attacks before the 2008 primary for their top state representative race there. According to that article that was $100,000 of a total of $187,000 spent . This is here as an FYI to be ready for a last minute campaign blitz in Edina from Progressive Majority. PM already has a local staff of paid campaign workers. EdinaModerates.org still takes the position that Edina political races ought to be run by Edinans for Edinans - of any party or belief. |

This widely circulated
Minnesota Taxpayer's League poster designed by Derek Brigham poster
shows the Taxpayer's League is putting out great efforts to
replace republicans who voted to override Gov. Pawlenty's veto -
even if it was, as it was in Edina 41a - the wishes of the vast
majority (61%) of voters in the district. As a result
Taxpayer's league has already as of this writing assured that
several of the 6 republican districts will now become democratic.
Talk about shooting yourself in the foot Phil Krinkie.
